A friend of mine sent this link, I remember people talking about this picture but hadn't read the article or known what it was about.

Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

One of my favorite pictures of all time; it certainly has to be one of the most beautiful portraits ever taken.

It is quite striking to see what 17 years in that kind of environment can do to someone; and surviving for 17 years in such an environment is an accomplishment unto itself.

Her features may have changed over the years, but those eyes, that's really what one remembers is those eyes set in the beauty of a young girl's face.

I remember reading this article, or a similar one, a while back.  Truly is a fantastic picture, and what a story!

Yeah fascinating story.  Whenever I think I have it tough, I just try and remember that I'm not a woman living in Afghanistan under the Taliban.
