He was also the man behind Ivor the Engine, Pingwings, the Clangers and Noggin the Nog. RIP

Yes that was certainly sad news. I thought that "Ivor The Engine" and "The Clangers" were two of the best children's shows ever made. I always found "Bagpuss" far too depressing but all his shows had a gentle, pleasant quality that made them very relaxing to watch.
