I like the direction this thread is going  :wink:, but to answer the original question:

I saw the remake on HBO, it was OK.  Had a few chuckles, but it's no classic.  Worth a rental, but not a purchase unless you can get it at rental prices.

You might be able to pick up the original and remake in a dirt cheap boxset.

House of wax for example did this and so did The fly.

Still the best scene from house of wax remake was this.

That could have been because the actress seems to be the spawn of everything I hate with society and popular culture.
