WOW -- I'm a little surprised to have gotten so many responses so quickly!

I think I've narrowed it down to either the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Metaluna Mutant or the Ymir.

The Creature was my first favorite monster.  I don't know why (I think because he's prehistoric, when I was little I connected him with dinosaurs), but I've always liked him.

One of the earliest nightmares I can remember having involved the Metaluna Mutant, and additionally he's what comes to mind immediately when I think "Bug-Eyed Monster."

And the Ymir remains my favorite piece of Harryhausen's work, despite being one of the last of his monsters that I was introduced to.

The Creature would be my gut choice, but I'd bet there are plenty of folks out there with Creature tattoos.

I'd go for the Ymir, myself. One of the coolest-lookin'  monsters around and it would unique. However, getting the Ymir tattoo would involve poking it, which never ends well.

The Monster of Piedras Blancas in this classic pose might make another effective, unusual choice:

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

"The Quatermass Xperiment"

For Americans I think it's was re-titled "The Creeping Unknown"

But I may be wrong...

I have seen a couple CFTBL tattoos online in my search for potential search images.  I've also found one Metaluna Mutant tattoo, a reproduction of the Basil Gogos painting that covered a significant portion of the bearer's torso.
