Plot: As a result of a dare, a trio of college boys ends up in the seediest neighbourhood of the city looking for a stripper they can hire. Things start badly, as they get into a fight with a gang lead by an albino, but later in some nightclub they find the perfect candidate, Katrina, a mysterious black dancer... and a vampire.

Comments: As a children of the 80s, it's always a pleasure to discover a decent film of the era. It doesn't matter if it is a minor entry in an otherwise minor subgender, the teenage vampire film. Part of it it's the nostalgia, of course. Outrageous cinematography and a synth score are always fun. And so is a teenage film featuring strippers and a plot that reminisces Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Risky Business.

And it's actually a pretty good film. It has its flaws, obviously. The pace flags in the middle section, and the filmmakers aim for an Afterhours sense of humour that doesn't always hit the mark, but the presentation is strong (gotta love Dedee Pfeiffer's bubbly waitress act, and Chris Makepeace is a likeable hero) and the final action set pieces are satisfying.

And what about Grace Jones? Well, she's given many scenes to show off, but other than her fascinating dance number she doesn't quite make an impression. She has no dialogue at all, and her displays of raw sexuality and violence can only substitute that to an extent. Still, I think she deserved a better movie career than she actually got. Her role as Katrina may not be an instant classic, but it certainly shows some promise.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

That's an old favorite of mine.  Loved Dedee Pfeiffer as the wiatress.  Just a fun movie with one of those somewhat surrealistic atmospheres to it.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.
