need help with film title....

Thanks in advance to whoever can tell me the name of this film. All I can remember is that this goth kid shows his power from Satan by going into a lake and finding an airpocket, tricking the others into believing he had the devils help breathing under water.He had like a shrine down there too. Any help would be much appreciated. 
I believe the kids were starting a band as well.

i think the airpocket is like part of a sewage thing running into the lake, also the main character of the movie was a new kid in their town and was trying to be recruited into their click... ive been looking for this movie for a couple years now, I saw it at a friends house and he had the biggest vhs collection I had ever seen, they were all recorded from the movie rental place and tv, so there would be like three to four movies per tape.Unfortunately thats all I can remember. Thanks guys!
