Pierogies.

I'm part Polish. I come from a hometown that's predominantly Polish. When I was a kid, I went to Catholic school. That meant no meat on Fridays, year round. As if eating pierogies on a regular basis to my family being so, like, ACTIVELY Polish wasn't enough, we had 'em for lunch pretty much every Friday of ever week of my life from first grade until eighth grade (which is when I finally started going to public school). I used to like 'em. Now? Blech. Much too much. I haven't eaten a pierogie since childhood.

Half polish myself.  I never got into Pierogies much.  Then again, 99% of the Polish food I didn't like.  I ate a lot of kielbasa as a kid and I don't really like it much now.

Are there certain foods you can hardly stomach because you've eaten too much of it?   My two big ones that shock people are pizza and hot dogs.

When I first started dating my wife, we went out for pizza constantly.  Pretty much every weekend we'd order something from Domino's, Papa Ginos, etc...
Yeh, well I'd get sick of that so-called pizza too, ...right quick.

I've pretty much given up soda. Just seems way too sweet.

My stepmother was a polack...and we ate pierogies, glumpkies (did I spell that right?-stuffed cabbage),kielbasa, saurkraut and pork...I still love 'em. Comfort foods,I guess. Been a looooong time since I had some home-made Polish food...(sigh).

I quit drinking soda a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. I don't miss it a bit, but I do buy some when I am on a drive and it's late, just in case I get tired: Better to drink some soda than to wreck my car. That crap isn't so bad when you're a kid, but I don't think the adult body is made for drinking soda on a regular basis.
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!
