For all you EEGAH! fans, here's another Arch Hall, Jr., movie you might want to see.  It isn't as funny as EEGAH, but you'll still get a few chuckles out of it.

Here's Arch in 2006!

Arch (and his huge pile of blonde hair that looks like it's ready to come to life and leap off his head at any moment) plays Bud Eagle, a singer from a small town in the Dakotas who rides into Hollywood on a motorcyle seeking fame and fortune.  He meets a crooked manager played by William Watters (aka Arch Hall, Sr.) who tries to make Bud famous and then cheat him out of his money.  Cash Flagg (aka Ray Dennis Steckler), who directed this mess, plays the manager's henchman.

It's painful to listen to Arch, Jr.'s awful songs and ear-piercing voice (especially when he tries to reach those high notes).  And while he's singing (or walking or talking or whatever) that huge pompadour or whatever it is hanging over his forehead keeps flopping around.  Pretty disturbing.

This is on a Something Weird double feature DVD with Arch's equally bad movie THE CHOPPERS.  The DVD also has a few "shorts" such as DANCE CRAZE (directed by the infamous Bill Rebane) and TWIST CRAZE (produced by the infamous Bill Rebane).

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

For awhile people were able to buy this movie at The Dollar Tree, also featured with The Beatniks.
I thought Wild Guitar was more fun to watch than Eegah overall, and the irony in this movie just hurts!

Check out the Arch Hall Jr. art gallery by the board members... it's not too late to still interpret that mug of his!

I bought the same double feature DVD with THE BEATNIKS on it and enjoyed both films, although THE BEATNIKS was just sad and weird.

I loved "Cash Flagg" as Steak, the enforcer/bodyguard.  He was awful, but he makes a better actor than a director.

I may have to give this another chance: I remember it as being bad and boring

Depends on how you look at it... yes the plot is absolute trite, and there's zero action; everyone just sits around the camera.
On the other hand it could extremely hilarious because its about the ugliest turd who plays less than mediocre songs that match his talent, who makes it in the big time so well that in the end he calls all the shots!

Aw the irony!
