Saturday I facilitated a meeting between a local arrowhead collector who had discoverd and excavated a partial mosasaur skeleton and a paleontologist friend of mine.  I was hoping the two of them could work up a deal, but the finder is dead set on getting big bucks for these bones, so they will be going up on EBay later this week!  What he has are 25 vertebrae, including the Atlas Vertebrae (just below the skull), one quadrate bone (connects the upper and lower jaws), and the braincase.  I only got a couple of pictures, but I thought some of you might like to see them.

Enjoy!  Now I've gotta head off to school!

Indianasmith, I'm just curious: Are you studying to become a paleontologist too?  Looking at your avatar it would make sense.

Nah . . . I'm just purely an amateur collector, and I'm really more into Indian artifacts than fossils . . . I happen to collect in an area where  you can find both.
