Evil Remains (2004)

Model turned Actress Estella Warren plays a lesbian student joining her friends researching urban legends. They end up at a supposedly haunted farm house with a violent history. A little boy once killed his parents at the very same house 20 years ago, and apparently he is back. Or not. Could be ghosts spooking about or maybe it is one of the researching students?

Part mystery slasher, part supernatural drama including homage-scene to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The script is somewhat clever as it keeps the audience guessing as in what exactly is going on. The pacing drags very much however, and one is reminded of prime time TV soap because of excessive dialogue. Still, it was ok for what it is. Not horribly bad but not great either.
