Lawrence Olivier: from Hamlet to Inchon and The Betsy:buggedout:

Let's not forget his performance (and silly wig and costume) in CLASH OF THE TITANS.

Shelley Winters, who won the Oscar for THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK and A PATCH OF BLUE, also appeared in the awful FANNY HILL (which, admittedly, had some great nude scenes, fortunately none involving Mrs. Winters).
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

Clint Eastwood's first speaking role in a film was as a lab technician in "Revenge of the Creature". He was uncredited.

Ray Milland, of THE LOST WEEKEND fame, slumming in FROGS.

Yeah, Frogs really sucked big time.  Ray Millard sunk to a low that time.

I am not sure if he won any awards, but I do know that Brad Pitt has been nominated for some.  He was in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Inglorious Bastards, and the Ocean Eleven series, but then he was also in Cool World where apparently he did not even know the basics of acting.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Ben Kingsley won an Oscar for Gandhi, and has since been nominated three more times.

Yet, somehow, he's also in The Love Guru, A Sound of Thunder and BloodRayne of all things.

I think a lot of British actors have a more utilitarian view of acting than many major American actors.  They say, "I'm an actor, therefore I act".

Milland was also in THE thing wiTH TWO HEADS around the same time, where he had to act while pretending to be attached to Rosey Grier's body.

When A.I.P. realized how ridiculous all this was they made a smart move by altering this enough to make this a, uhum, black comedy/horror rather than a straight horror film.

Rosey's girlfriend has the best line:" Have you got two of anything else?"
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

That's awesome!  That should have been inspiration for a porn version of that film, entitled, The Thing With Two Heads And Two Schlongs.

Glenn Ford won the Oscar for The Blackboard Jungle, then 26 years later or so starred in Happy Birthday To Me, a seriously stupid film.
