I guess I should relate to Clerks more, it describes my hometown to a tee.  and it's all low budget and cutting edge.  But I think I'm more of a Friday type of guy.  It's more conventional for sure, and like every black movie (or TV show) it has to have a moral at the end that a 2 year old could understand, but it's just funnier.  I really didn't think Clerks was funny at all

I used to live in a neighborhood like the one in Friday, and let me tell you it's a pretty realistic portrayal. Whenever I watch that film it's remarkable how they were able to nail down overall feel of the "urban experience" (a.k.a. broke-ass ghetto).

Clerks is more like where I'm from. There's a bunch of Savages in this town.

Drezzy

Clerks wins, just because I'm a huge Smith fan, really. Friday kicks ass on so many levels, but Clerks was more of a down-to-earth experience, as anybody that has worked in a convenience store understands EVERY joke. I've never had a job, period, but I used to hang out at the local Xtra-Mart now and then and the questions some people asked were so stupid...

Mofo Rising

FRIDAY was killed by way too many of my pot-smoking friends who constantly declared "Let's watch FRIDAY!"

"It's Friday, you don't got s**t to do tomorrow!"

Killed dead I tell you.

CLERKS is hilarious, but not something I can watch over and over.

Now CLERKS: THE ANIMATED SERIES. . .

They should have clerks vs. Friday the movie.  A Kevin Smith-Ice Cube collabo.   That'd be the stoner movie to end them all.

1) Drezzy is right about that being what it's really like. Currently I work at a shop'n'bag and I get a ton of stop questions (I get the "are you open?" question everyday) in fact me and like 5 other employees are all Kevin Smith Fans. We call each other Cancer Merchants whenever we sell someone cigerettes

2) Friday is a great movie I admit, but I like Kevin Smith alot more

3) The Clerks Cartoon rules

4) I don't drugs and love all Kevin Smith and Friday, I think that's whats great about those movies (half baked included) you don't need to be a stoner to enjoy them

During my short tenure at at a convenience store, I learned that you sell three things
1. cigarettes
2. lottery
3. milk.

I honestly think they would make more money if they downsized by getting rid of everything else and just had those 3 things.
