Hallo! New to the forum and already asking for help. I'm organising a b movie night with friends to remember all the sword and sandals movies we'd caught a glimpse of when we were kids, right before our parents switched the channel! :) I am mostly interested in fantasy genre ( at least a witch or wizard would be nice) monsters... This kind of thing. A plus if it's from around the 80's!

I hope this is the right place for this sort of question btw... :)

Welcome to the forum!
I'd suggest some of Ray Harryhausen's movies like The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, and Jason and the argonauts.
Also, I've heard that Hercules against the moon men is funny too.
Oh, and don't forget Yor:hunter from the future. That movie kicks ass! (Yeah, it has futuristic elements in it, but only in the last 15 minutes.)

Welcome!
My suggestions:
Blademaster
The Beastmaster
Sorceress
Conan The Barbarian
Clash Of The Titans
An anime (not for kids!) called Legend Of Lemnear

At least a couple of those are pretty bad but at least fit the bill of your criteria.

This one is almost mandatory:  "The Sword and the Sorcerer"

I have to suggest "Hundra"

And, finally:  "The Warrior and the Sorceress"

Also, let me echo RetroRussell's suggestion of "Sorceress."  That's another one I would call almost mandatory.

The HERCULES films (mostly Italian films dubbed into English) are a must. The vast majority of them have some type of sorcery, an evil queen, feats of strenght for Hercules to perform and many have monsters for Hercules to fight. The SONS OF HERCULES films in particular stay true to this formula seems to me but I also recommend HERCULES UNCHAINED, HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD and HERCULES AND THE CAPTIVE WOMEN

The Magic Sword!!  It's not from the 80s though.
