I appreciated this because it was different than the stuff I usually watch but it wasn't that great.   It's like a decent play turned into a movie and it has all the sort of standard bearers of the lefty theatre:  the minorities are all saints, the germans and americans are racist brutes, and the men are genuinly interested in the middle eaged women instead of the hot young spanish dancer/ prostitutes.  So it's a little of a Lifetime adventure as well.  The director clearly knows his way around this format and if you like this stuff you will have your fill.  There is plenty of dramatic soul searching and people realizing things about life and so forth, like an old fogey version of "the Breakfast Club or something.  When Vivian Leigh said she was 46, she was clearly much older, I knew I was watching something more for a european mindset and kind of tuned out a little.  Towards the end it almost takes it to a more interesting level but not quite.  It's like 3 hours long.

Okay Lester, I might have quite the response, but, I don't much like this movie either anyway...  :teddyr:  :drink:

The Burgomaster

When I saw the subject line, I thought we were all going on a cruise together.   :bluesad:
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."
