You CAN watch crappy old movies without MST3K ya know!  Here's a good example.  In the genre of z grade 50's movies this is not crazy as Ed Wood's stuff and not as mind numbingly boring as say Red Zone Cuba or Capture that Capsule (aka police squad) or not as just totally off the reservation as Beast of Yucca Flats.  It's not something they'd show on TCM either unless Ted turner had a lobotomy.  It's got that B movie energy from the bad narrarating and bad acting to the glowing white she monster with eye make up and a body suit.  It's all there.

The only dissapointing thing was I had read an anecdote in "NIghtmare of Ecstacy" the Ed wood book about this movie.  I think about it all the time:  the guy who was in the bear suit was like "hey get me out of this thing!" because he was smoking in it!  I LOVE that story.  SO I tried to see smoke coming out of the bear but I couldn't.  If this had been the very first movie ever made it would have been the Avatar of it's day special effects wise.  I liked all the drinking and tough talking    :hatred:

Only about an hour long.  check it out if you haven't already

the one guy kept talking about a "thin layer of unknown metal" so that's what I called him. the geologist. I can't remember if they gave him a name

Mr. Bronson

The Astounding She Monster, I saw it. I liked it. Classic cheese.

Underbelly

I have not seen this one but I feel I must. Does anyone know anything about Shirley Kilpatrick? According to IMDB, this was her only film.

One of my favorite Bad movies! First saw it in the early 70's on DOUBLE CREATURE FEATURE on channel 28-outta South Bend,Indiana!
Rumour is that Shirly Kilpatrick (the She Monster) was in actuallity Shirly Stover of the HONEYMOON KILLERS (1969) fame.
the dumpy broad in the clip is Shirly Stover....

Mr. DS

I reviewed this one awhile back.  Its cheesy, choppy but oddly enjoyable.  The "special effects" are something to truly behold.

SHIRLEY STOLER according to imdb... I think if the SHE-MONSTER gained about 100 lbs, she'd look exactly like SHIRLEY STOLER did in HONEYMOON KILLERS (Here's also some '50s era pix of SHIRLEY apparently).
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!
