I just say this on a link from Facebook, thought I'd post it here if anyone was interested.  This is the American remake of the movie Let The Right One In (which, BTW, if you have NOT seen, you need to rent it, NOW).  Anyway, not sure what to think, remakes have always been a bit hit or miss for me, some I like better than the original (Hills Have Eyes) and some just seem like pointless rehashes (The Omen).  I just really hope everyone involved treats the story with the respect it deserves.

Anyway, here you go.

BTW if ANYONE can ID the song in the trailer, please let me know!

It doesnt look as bad as I feared but still.... Its gonna suck   :teddyr:  I hate it when Americans try and remake foreign films. They always eff it up. To keep this from being a total disaster it will probably be like the REC remake. Almost a shot for shot.

I'm staying optimistic about this film.  The original was amazing, one of the best vampire films of all time.  The trailer really captures the heart of the original and it looks like it'll be quite good.  I'm curious to see how an American film handles the material being as they are all children and childhood violence/sexuality is seriously taboo when it comes to our films.  I'm hoping its as honest and realistic as the original

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I'm going for cautiously optimistic. It won't be the same as the original but maybe it will be a decent movie in its own right. At least they didn't cast Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber as the leads, which is a good sign.

I'll try to be open-minded, but I have a knee-jerk aversion to remakes. The title keeps making me think of Poltergeigt II. "Let me in. Let me in. You're all gonna die in there. YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!!!!!"
