Actually, Screamin' Jay Hawkins invented horror rock in the 1950's. He used to perform "I Put a Spell on You" standing in front of a coffin, and then he would fall back into the coffin at the end.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org
