...................that my underpants first came into play...................naah.  :teddyr:

On December 1, 1989 I walked into the premises of the National Film, Video and Sound Archives in Pretoria, little knowing that I had just found my life's work. Today at 07h30 precisely is the start of my 21st year here.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Congrats.  I had to quit my job of 13 years because it gave me anxiety attacks and caused psychosomatic distress.

21 years are quite impressive though

That's a good sign when you can easily remember the day you started a job you've been at for quite some time.  Normally I've tried very hard to forget my first day.  My current job, though, I like very much and remember that first day as well.  But I only have been working at the hospital 2 yrs, 9 mos.  But I'll probably stick around for 21 years at least; it's an easy, good-paying job.

Congrats on your staying power.  Sounds like you enjoy your job.

I developed those in 2008 after my Dad passed but the weird thing is that if I work and write, they pass. I also stopped taking meds for them as those meds drove me nuts so my work helps me cope.

I refused to take meds (though I tried some once but they made matters worse), so my only option was to quit. No anxiety attacks or other problems ever since :)

It was a Friday at 07h30 AM: I found myself standing under a tree at the NFA premises until I decided to go in. I also met the love of my life there and while we are still friends ~ she is more like the sister I never had ~ she is still the love of my life. Love you, Maggi.

Yessir. I was very scared on my first day of my first ever and so far only job so that fear fouled them then and they remain so fouled today.

Congrats. It's great that you've been able to something for so long that you seem to really enjoy. Here's to another 21 years

Thanks, 3mnkids and you've made a good point about really enjoy. That and the fact that the job I do is never the same has kept me at it since 1989. I collected the masters of THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY at the lab yesterday - all 50 cans of it - and today I was helping clients and sorting photos.
