looking for anyone who knows what movie a stupid mop looking monster with an antenea called a sillican(?sp) is

This sounds like the Silicates from "Island of Terror" (1966).

Holy Peter Cushing, Batman! I haven't seen that one in years. I still remember the TV Guide description too: something about cancer cure experiments on a remote island giving birth to deadly creatures, or something close to it.
