We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

PC will kill every bit of culture and humor in our society.  I've said it before, and I just said it again.

Well, the magic word was thrown around again for one thing: inclusion.

As always, it's the excuse word for the disenfranchised few who take offense at someone exercising a right other than theirs, to wind up taking the general right away from those who enjoy something other than them. Y'know how it is, if they can't have it, noone can.

And, as always, the stick that society has up it's secular a*s is bigger and deeper than it was before. So let us once again tip our hats to the sour-a*sed MF's who wound up taking fun away from everyone because their rights begin where someone else's allegedly have to end..

I support this.  Valentine's at school was always very painful for me.  After second or third grade, I just skipped school on Valentine's.

You're not the only schoolkid who ever got looked over on Valentine's Day.

I used to not get some, but when I did, sometimes I was reminded in some way or another (by the sender or the message inside) that the Valentine's card I got was out of plain mandate to the school policy and not for any other reason.  It hurt me too.

I guess my support for Valentine's Day is because I just never saw the reason in taking fun from others, even if it wasn't making me happy. But I know where you're coming from.

I used to get some nasty Valentines, (being a chubby kid and all) and after awhile I was like, whatever. The teachers always wondered why I threw mine away, and after they'd seen what was in some of them, they actually agreed with my actions!

Valentine's is just another excuse for kids to be mean to each other, an extra-special day of misery for those who don't fit in.

Well, even if I defend the holiday, I have to say that, as per my own experiences with the holiday, I can't disagree with your opinion, because I've been hurt on Valentine's Day too.

I guess I still defend the holidays because I know it'll go good for someone, if not ourselves. Be that as is, I would have liked to have been more loved when I was a kid.

Kids are mean, we all know that from our early experiences. But looking to life now, maybe early childhood was some sort of training ground for what we go thru now in our daily lives.

I dunno..but I know one thing. No matter how many years have gone by and no matter how many times we shrug off the hurt and convince ourselves that we can handle it, somedays it still hurts like hell when someone says or does something to hurt you. I guess that's what we call "being human."

I just always got the little cards that you kinda had to give out. Of course now whenever I go out of the way for someone I always end up with a little card.

I guess that's just the whole thing about life.  To find the nice parts about it.  Life itself isn't nice in any way at all.  Everyone will go through pain and suffering, some to more degrees than others.  But there is usually some nice part of life, and that's what is best to hold on to.
