B-Movie Party THeme - PLEASE Help!!

What are some iconic B-movie things? I'm not too familiar with b-movies, so all I can think of are guns, spaceships and tentacles lol. It's for my hubby's surprise 30th birthday party- I want to put this stuff all over the walls!

Get a stuffed dear head that keeps saying " Dead by dawn" over and over (seriously you can find these)

Probably depends on the genre but monsters tend to be a constant. For Sci-Fi, ray guns, robots and rocketships. For Horror, mummies, zombies, vampires, hunchbacks, werwolves, bats, black cats, Frankenstein's Monster, For Fantasy, dragons, dungeons, swords, sorcery, rings of power. Scantily clad women and people screaming are a must! Other suggestions: UFOs, Godzilla, 50s leather jackets, cobwebs, spiders, etc..

There's a deer head that says 'dead by dawn?!' Holy, my hubby would love that! He's a HUGE evil dead fan! I will start looking for one right now! Thanks Crackers!

That's a great list xJaseSFx! That will be a huge help. I'm thinking of getting decals done up so I can stick these iconic things to the walls and roof, floor etc. I wanna put decals of blood seeping out of the toilet tank too lol

I haven't heard of Plan 9 from Outer Space, Bob- but there's a wicked video store here that basically only has b-movies and I bet I could get it there! It's a creepy little place that is literally underground in the trendiest area of the city. There's always dust-bunnies all over the floor, faded b-movie posters on every available wall space, and a sitting area that's always playing a different movie. The sitting area seriously looks like the dingy basement suite of a b-movie obsessed 30-year old. (which I think pretty much describes the owner) It's frigg'in awesome! Even I think it's great.

Good idea, AndyC!! That might save me, my initial plan had a big problem- I found a website that has hi-res movie posters for download, and they have a lot of b-movie titles. I wanted to get them printed and put them up at the party, but the issue is that it'll be hard to find someone who will re-print posters that I obviously don't own the rights to. I'm sure getting photos of these actors done up wouldn't be an issue though!

Yeah. You could pick a genre and go with that, or just go with B-movies in general. You know your husband better than we.

Having movies playing is a good thing. If you can find the movie "It Came From Hollywood" that would be good. It's a homage to all bad movies and contains lots of clips from many, many b-movie staples.

That sounds great, Flick James! I have got to get that one for the party. I'm going to go with b-movies in general, probably just gonna focus a bit more on the zombie / Bruce Campbell aspect, but still include a bit of everything.
