Yes it is. I got a free month sample thing forwared to me by a friend. Thus far the only thing I can complain about is that they didn't have one movie on my long list of movies I've been wanting to see available for website streaming.
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

Rather enjoyable, the only thing I miss is the whole brick and mortar moment when you wanted to get something but what you wanted was out.  You had to pick something and sometimes (usually) crapy but every once in awhile a gem.  Netflix kind of removes that as you can pick pretty much exactly what you want or something else you want with no trouble. It is great though as on my off days I go through about 5 movies.  Yes, I was playing games alot I need to get some movie watching done.  Plus, I haven't rented in a while as the rental stores have gone in the past 2 years.
Ah, the good old days.

Netflix does spoil the hell out of me. between the streaming (which has movies that might not be available on DVD like Sugar Hill) and still sending dvd in a timely manner its great. The price of it is not bad either.

The wife and I have about 50 DVD's and Blu-Ray's in our delivery queue. We've alternated between the movies and tv shows, and it's nice to get a disc in the mail and have no idea what it is because I don't really keep track of the order that much and it's like a mystery movie.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

The draw back is that the instant stream mostly has crappy movies it's hard to find anything worth watching.

Well, since I posted what is quoted above there have been 30 movies I've wanted to watch via instant stream but have been unable to. But I did see other good stuff like Troll 2, several MST3K episodes (I just discovered the show 2 years ago long after it was off the air), A Clockwork Orange, and The Omen. It kind of evens out in that way, nevertheless I am a bit disappointed by it though.

Yeah, my biggest complaint is the horror movies that they have available for streaming are slanted heavily towards straight-to-video from the 2000's, and I have found very very few of these that are even entertaining.

You are disappointed because you couldn't see all 30 of these movies for free????? Ok. LOL.

My advice is to pay for it for 1 month. You have essentially 30 days to get any random movies you want,  sent to you for like $9.00 or so.

I find it disappointing.  Since I like to watch obscure flicks they have almost nothing for me that's available.

since it costs 13 dollars to go to the movies, the 8 it costs for a month of streaming is f'n A OK by me.  Plus I love the categories that Netflix generates after it starts to get a feel for what kind of movies you like.

Yes, after rating and showing interests it does start to get a better feel for what you would like and most have been pretty spot on suggestions for me.
