QuoteST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. - Police arrested a 67-year-old man after a woman said he "charged" her in his electric wheelchair, crashing into her bicycle after chasing her around a parking lot for three days.

The victim earlier this week told Fort Pierce police she was on her bicycle when Harry Lee Gray "charged her in his electric wheelchair" at an address in the 600 block of Avenue B, according to a recently released arrest affidavit.

She said Gray purposely crashed into her leg and bicycle, knocking her off. Further, she said he picked up the bike, which her late father gave her, and "slammed" it down, causing the front tire to come off.

"(The victim) stated that Gray has chased her for the last three days around the parking lot, but she never called the police," an affidavit states.

Gray, who police said appeared "very intoxicated," denied doing anything. He then offered the woman money to repair the bike.

The affidavit didn't state what made investigators suspect Gray was intoxicated or what may have sparked the alleged electric wheelchair assault.

Witnesses said they saw Gray knock the victim from the bicycle before picking it up and slamming it down.

"It should be noted that Gray is not wheelchair bound, and he can walk for a short distance," the affidavit states.

Gray, of the 600 block of Avenue B in Fort Pierce, was arrested on misdemeanor battery and criminal mischief charges.

Why didn't she leave the parking lot?

It happened three days running, not continuously for 72 hours.  :bouncegiggle:

I can't be the only one seeing a b-movie here, am I?

Would it be a a killer in an electric wheelchair or an electric wheelchair that kills?
Ah, the good old days.

It would be a killer in a chair. The sequel would find his soul put into the chair.

Actually, I got the thought that it would make an interesting idea like Duel where you have someone on a bike getting chased by a guy in an electric wheel chair and never really give a specific reason.  It would make an interesting idea.  You could get some tension out of it in that am I seeing what I think I'm seeing way.  Acts nice around pedestrians and others they pass while the one on the bike seems deranged speaking how he does things when no one is around.  Yeah, actually I think that would make quite a bizarro film.
