Which one has gone on to become a masterpiece of American cinema, the other remaining a disgraceful piece of walrus manure?

I would have to say "Child's Play" was the best.  The rest are the worst.

I know it's borderline blasphemy to rank the original so low... but it's too serious for my taste and it has too many slow points throughout. it works the first time you watch it but doesn't hold up for multiple views like I feel the others do.

1)  Bride of Chucky - I usually despise horror/comedies, but that one hits all the right notes.
2)  Child's Play 2 - Love the '80s feel (even though it's from 1990).  Don't know, it's just fun and I watch it every October before Halloween.
3)  Child's Play - the mom is great and it has some nice suspense, but that kid is just so damned annoying.

I think I saw part 3 many years ago but I can't remember it.  Never saw Seed of Chucky.

Ranking them based on my preference:
Bride of Chucky
Seed of Chucky
Child's Play
Child's Play 2
Child's Play 3

My overall reasonings: The first three were great for their time, and the best part was it seemed like an overlying trilogy, involving Andy and Chucky.  But, I like Bride and Seed more.  Primarily cause they did decide to amp up the comedy, and Bride and Seed gave some good comedic showings in dealing with a psycho falling in love with his equally insane ex-girlfriend, marriage, adapting to said marriage.  Then, having a child and the mother expecting the father to set a good example for the child, but the father unwilling to change and continues killing.  Kind of a spoof of Kramer vs. Kramer.

Overall, I like all the films and have the dvd's.  Just falls down to whichever one I want to watch at any given time.

I haven't seen the early "Child's Play" flicks in years, but I do remember liking the 1st and 3rd. I know I've seen "2" but it must've been pretty forgettable cuz I can't recall a thing about it.

"Bride of Chucky" was a hoot. Weird, hilarious, borderline disturbing at times (a doll-on-doll sex scene?).

Never seen "Seed of Chucky" and after some of the reviews I've read over the years I'm honestly in no hurry to.

Michael Bay, Roland Emmerich, Uwe Boll and Ed Wood would like a word with you. :)

If that's the worst film you've seen, then you are one lucky clown.

No, honestly. I found it to be completely tasteless, appalling, a huge disappointment and slap in the face to anyone who thought they'd see a decent Child's Play film. Ya know, the "horror" films about a killer doll?? I thought stuff like Weasels Rip My Flesh and Pink Flamingos were better.

Eh.. didn't really like any after the first.  The third was a little better than the others in my opinion.  Bride had a couple funny parts.  2 was stupid, Seed even more so.

Child's Play (this one actually scared my girlfriend a while back, definitely has some good moments)
Child's Play 2 (had some good action and thrills IMO)
Bride of Chucky (a fun movie takes things in an interesting new direction)
Child's Play 3 (lame and unnecessary sequel obviously made to cash in on the franchise)
Seed of Chucky (very disappointing follow-up to Bride, just lame and unfunny)
