With the realization that coming next year we will be hit with the animated Lorax film (Yes indeed, another Dr. Seuss adaption is coming soon), I think it is time to discuss Dr. Seuss.  For all of you, what was or is your favorite Dr. Seuss book and animated short?

My favorite work he ever wrote and favorite animated piece is The Lorax.  While the enviromental message is obvious and sparked criticism from many (with one in the form of a really crappy story called Truax), I enjoyed it and it's word of caution for us.  Also, the ending is kind of powerful and a bit depressing; not something I often see with kids works.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Favorite animated piece: Green eggs & ham + Cat in the hat!

Green Eggs and Ham or Fox In Socks.  I put a lot of energy into the books when I read for my kids...maybe too much.  I can read Fox In Socks rather quickly which I guess is an accomplishment.
