SHRIEK OF THE MUTILATED (1976)

This one is very bad . . . but good for a few laughs!  A group of college students go to a house in the forest with their professor to search for bigfoot.  When they arrive at the house, they meet the housekeeper: a mute, muscular American Indian named Laughing Crow (he reminded me of Jamie Farr).

At one point, one of the male students has his leg ripped off.  A female student sees the leg (with the bloody bone protruding from the stump) and, in a moment of terrible acting, cries, "His leg!  His leg!"  They bring the severed leg into the house, put it on the dining room table, and cover it with a cloth.  One guy points at it and says something like, "That will never be useful to Tom ever again."

Overall, the movie is fairly dull but every once in awhile there's a killing (beheading, throat slashing, electrocution by a toaster thrown into a bathtub . . . you know, the usual stuff) to keep you awake.

This is one of many DVD-Rs I bought online from Super Strange Video.  The guy has a tremendous selection of obscure and imported trash.  I have more than 20 other movies I bought from this website sitting at home and I'll be reporting on many of them in the coming weeks.  Beware.

And it boasts the cutest Big Foot suit ever! He sort of looks like an English Sheep Dog.

I have such fond memories of this cinematic turd expelled by the Findleys. I think this was before the whole "Snuff" nonsense. But this should be required viewing, if for no other reason, for the inclusion of "Popcorn" by Hot Butter during the party scene. Oh, 70s and your wacky musical stylings!

I would take the time to link a YouTube video as I am sure there is one, but I'm at work and the VA frowns on us accessing such sites. Oddly enough, I can still go to Amazon and spend all my money while at work.

Sadly, I don't think they had the rights to "Popcorn" for the DVD version because that scene uses different music . . .  :bluesad:
