Stumper B movie from the 80's

Descrption: A boy/college student is involved in a cat and mouse game with other kids at his school/college where they use fake guns to shoot each other that are their next required targets. The boy is deeply infatuated with being #1, and when he gets shot himself he goes crazy. From then on he simply goes around killing his competition. In a shower scene, he decides to actually kill his foe who got off a fluke hit on him.  Movie takes place on a school campus in which a few students end up dead.

There was another kill scene in it where the crazed guy is outside, under the bleachers at a track n field meet. A girl (who is his next actual target) sits above him by herself. Just as the gun goes off for the track n field guys to start running, he shoots her, pulls her down and throws her ots and runs off.

I believe it is T.A.G. The Assassination Game (1982)

Though not mentioned anywhere but T.A.G. was edited to get a PG rating. The cuts are obvious when watching the movie. Fun flick nonetheless.
