Confimed Cases of Cow tipping?

I was just noodling around on Straight Dope. There was a segment on cow tipping.
Living in the urban midwest I was always exposed to stories of people going cow tipping.  But I have never seen proof, and always had better things to do than find someone would knew how and would go with me. (my friends were more into the acrcade, driving in cars and meeting girls).
So...any of you cats ever done so? If so, how and whats it like?

It is possible, but not in the manner described.  We tried doing this years ago when I was a kid.  After multiple failures, which get scary when you have a cow mad at you (and they can trot pretty quick), we finally made it work.  It took more than one person, rope, and a juvenile bovine, and I'm pretty sure we caused it an injury.  Never repeated that.

What cows really do not like is to be shot with a BB gun.  If you are outside of the fence they moo and come over to glare at you.  If you are in the field with them you had better start running.  Pretty sure they would have given us a good bump if we hadn't gotten over the fence quickly.  Oh, and never try to get over an electric fence fast.  That's a recipe for disaster.

We were idiots when we were young, but I'm pretty sure we managed to do damage to ourselves than the cows.

As a life-long Texan I can safely say that I have never tipped a cow......they tend to spill the drinks.

surprised at that... I grew up on a farm, spent the first 15-16 yrs of my life around cows on a daily basis and never once felt intimidated or threatened by a cow. all it needed was to make one or 2 aggressive looking steps toward the cow/s in a field if they were encroaching, and they'd back off immediately. this never failed, I've never encountered violence or aggression from a cow.

bulls - different story. been trapped in a field with an angry bull and thought I was going to die. I was walking our dog and didn't notice it in the field, it was up on its hind legs, head shaking etc... only about 5 ft away. that was scary.. but cows are p***ycats.

So we might have been encouraging the cows to come after us when we ran away?  I guess that our reaction was natural since we knew we were doing something wrong, but yelling "boo!" at them and not feeling like a cow was about to kill me would have been nice.

Bulls are some mean creatures.  I remember trying to get a bull into a run so we could load him back into a trailer.  Scary work when you have amateurs doing that.

A buddy of mine at the time and his friends did it at his senior prom.  It took about 5 of them to get the cow over who was supposedly sleeping at the time.  The cow let out a huge "mooooooooooooooooo" when he went over and they all ran for it.
