On 15th April 1989, one of the most horrific sporting events occurred, leaving 96 people crushed to death and the sporting world in mourning, especially supporters of Liverpool Football Club.

As a Liverpool supporter (I am wearing my supporters' shirt this morning) RIP the 96: you are remembered and you'll never walk alone.  :bluesad:

Ninety-six people! Terrible. But it's nice of you to recall those victims of that sad event, Trevor. Crowds are scary places to be. Close to where I live eleven people died in crowd conditions at a Who concert in 1979. Whoever designed that arena needed his head examined because the entrance was essentially a massive block-wide funnel that let thousands of people shove forward into a space about the size of a living room. It's a little better today but still not great.
