PORTAGE | A Florida man who urinated on the living room floor during the Thanksgiving gathering of his girlfriend's family was arrested after he continued to make a disturbance outside the house, police said.

Willie B. Norfolk Jr., 41, of St. Petersburg, was discovered Thursday at 12:43 a.m. by police lying down in the 2300 block of Neptune Street.

An officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on Norfolk's breath after arriving on the scene, according to police.

Norfolk began shouting and told the officer he was kicked out of the nearby home of his girlfriend's brother-in-law. According to police, the brother-in-law said Norfolk was escorted out of the home after urinating on the living room floor. The brother-in-law gave Norfolk $40 for a hotel room and the officer offered to drive him there but Norfolk became agitated, police said.

After continually shouting obscenities, Norfolk was taken into custody and was taken to Porter County Jail where he was charged with resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
