A man from Florida (of course) tried to use bowling ball bomb on former home

The latest in the ongoing adventures of Florida Man;

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - A Loxahatchee man who didn't want a bank to sell his foreclosed home tried to blow it up using a bowling ball as an explosive, Palm Beach County sheriff's deputies said.

Deputies detained Butler after he left the burning home. As firefighters extinguished the flames, they noticed a bowling ball with a wick attached.

The bomb squad removed the ball.

Deputies said Butler told them he set things on fire in the home using a cigarette lighter, poured gun powder in a bowling ball and used a rope as a fuse.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he watched a bit too much Looney Toons while growing up.  Which makes this even more appropriate;
