I didn't see a post on this one, maybe I missed it?  It just came to limited theatres in the US and VOD everywhere.  I've been quite interested in seeing it - has the retro 80s look, but seems like it actually has a heart and a core to its story, instead of just an aesthetic and jokes (ala Kung Fury).

I believe it is also on iTunes.  Has anyone seen it yet?

Dean saw it at the Melbourne Film Festival, you can search for that thread. Pretty sure he liked it.

Nice.  Glad he did too.

Yep, I watched it today.  It's free via Amazon Prime, something I figured out only after paying for it on Vimeo.  Oh well, don't mind giving the makers of this some cash.

Definitely a good movie.  Entertaining and well-paced, with two quite good leads (especially the girl).  Very enjoyable, and lighter than you're probably guessing based on all the gore in the trailer.  It handles the tonal shifts well.

I'd give it an 8/10.

Set in the future of 1997! Over 300 liters of blood!

Michael Ironside is a bad guy!

Funny story; at the screening one of the producers did a Q and A where they told us that the directors were in casting and at a party where Ironside was, so they were excited as they wanted him and went up and pitched it and he politely told them he was actually born again and wasn't into those type of crap movies anymore. They looked a bit sad until he said 'just kidding, I'm in!'

I had read a lot about this and I couldn't wait to see it and I wasn't disappointed.

I thought it was BRILLIANT!!!

Loved every second. Soundtrack is spot on too.
