The Gateway (2015)

I really do like this story. I wouldn't say it's super scary but the story is wacky (without the humor) and if your into HP Lovecraft/Clive Barker this would be a movie for you :)

From my perspective: The story is about a lady in her 20's (maybe closer to 30's). She's struggling to get by and rents low cost apartment. The apartment has one giant room (maybe 20'x20' - it's not big at all), a divider for a kitchenette and dingy bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. The bathroom looked very small and it needed a shower curtain. She puts a shower curtain on and after she closes the bathroom door the shower curtain is suck into the wall! (Yeah it was just like that!)

Actually, the whale guy seemed believable to my perspective. If I ran into some PETA - I could see they would get into gross details about peppy mills and show me some extreme pictures from there phone... and I could see myself swatting that phone... Sorry, that you were grossed out by this. I wasn't sure if it was 'bad acting' or 'parody to extreme wacko - like PETA people.' (I took it as a parody)...

Actually, the ending makes sense because the whale guy was wacky.


PS... The story seemed to remind me of my short story "The Bear Trap" (but no dead whales in that story)
