Ninja movie? 80s, 90s? "you will have a bright future"

Hello. I think it was a "Ninja movie"

Guy gets in a car opens a fortune cookie - reads "you will have a bright future"

Then... BOOM!!! Car blows up with him it in.

I remember this part, buts that's it - I'm 80% sure it was an 80's Ninja movie...

Can someone help? Please and thanks!

I am pretty sure that's it. Someone, maybe even Michael Berryman's character dresses as a ninja and hands out ominous fortune cookies to his victims or something like that. Could be wrong though...
