It's... Weird...

The Shape of Water is a romance movie by Guillermo Del Toro about a relationship between a mute woman and a fish man in a secret government facility during the Cold War (1960s).
It definately is a touching story albeit a little corney and the first act felt a little rushed to me. Really those are the only complaints I have.
I can't say much without spoiling it I'm sorry to say all I can do is recommend it. I definately don't regret seeing it and my sister and father liked it despite not being fans of romance so take that how you will.

Looking forward to catching that one.

I loved Del Toro's sideways revision/remake of REVENGE OF THE CREATURE. What I found surprising was despite how bleak and serious the ads look there's actual quite a bit of quirky humor in this ("He might really be a god - except  he just ate a cat.").
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

I have yet to see a Del Toro movie that I did not enjoy, so I'm looking forward to this one.
