Back when I was a little whippersnapper, the ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN (1952-1958) would be on uhf channels on Saturday and Sundays back in the 60's and early 70's.  George Reeves is still my favorite Superman. (But I like Christopher Reeves too. Odd- both named Reeves. Both met tragedy.)
I loved Superman! I remember something about a kid putting a towel around his neck and jumping out a window thinking he could fly. Maybe an urban legend?

Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Pacman000

Heard a similar tale about Pokemon: http://dogasu.bulbagarden.net/bashing/russian.html 'There were an accident in USA, in 1997, when a child jumped out of window shouting "I'm Pokemon! I can fly!"'

According to Snopes the Super Man rumor is probably made up: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/superman/ "apocryphal stories of children killing themselves in similar fashion [by leaping from windows] that already been circulating for several years."

Have the 1st two seasons on DVD. A lot of fun, but I rarely get to watch 'em. :(

The Burgomaster

I used to make my mother make capes for me with blankets and safety pins. I never jumped out a window, though. But when I was 6 I tried to teach my sister how to jump out of a tree without getting hurt . . . and I fractured my wrist.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Svengoolie 3

The b&w eps were better than the later ones.  I think the one with the scientist and the krypronite bullet was maybe the best of the series.
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

Me and my friend Frankie Marada in Wappinger Falls, NY jumped off a really large pile of lumber in his backyard with umbrellas thinking we would float down like Mary Poppins.
Didn't work.
