Reminded me of the movie.  Pretty long and had a few flaws but all in all good.

Yeah, I seen it a couple times. Nothing to write home about, but it was ok.

there were no women in it! I remember thinking it was an odd and unsuccesfull attempt to blend old and new styles of cinema. its way long too

The book was better. At least, I liked the book by Alistair Maclean much better than the film.
