Another christmas has come and gone and soon all left will a mess to clean up. And a long bout of post christmas depression.  This will be a very bad bout of PCD as this was likely a relative's last christmas.

On the contrary, the week between Christmas and New Year is often ranked as people's favorite time of year. I love it and I think all my family, co-workers, friends and neighbors seem happy in the dazzling enchantment of post-Christmas/pre-New Year's. Shame you're unhappy and facing loss but maybe 2019 will be the year you find love and happiness.

I got to thinkin' about some family related PTSD I've got over the Christmas of 1988, when it hit me; The psychiatric clinic I was going to at the time got in the news a few years later for falsely pioneering this underground suburban satanism epidemic in the '80s....

I was thinking this may be the last Christmas my mother is aware that it's Christmas. By evening she did not remember what gifts she had received in the morning. I'm not depressed about it, however. Just glad she had a good time.

Hope you can treasure the good memories and that they help you through and tougher times in the future.
