Think an episode of the BEVERLY HILLBILLYS without the acting talent, storytelling, or any kind of redeeming values at all- that's this movie. Lotsa rape, murder, and bad hillbilly music.  And drinking, of course.

Think of the cast of 2000 MANIACS (1964) without the gore (there is a little gore!)

Dam- what an experience in masochism watching that was!
It's on Tubi right now, if your so inclined to self- torture.

Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

I haven't seen MOONSHINE MOUNTAIN yet, but I have THIS STUFF'LL KILL YA, another H.G. Lewis hillbilly movie, which is also pretty bad. It's on a double feature DVD with YEAR OF THE YAHOO.

With actors you never heard of, and most likely, will never hear of again.

I find it interesting that one character is called Jeb. As if to tie-in with Jed Clampett of The Beverly Hillbillies. Hard to believe, but that how lasted for 9 seasons, from 1962 -1971. Harder for me to believe now, but, I actually watched it, when it was on TV.

The film did get one thing right. I have been to the Carolinas, and they are beautiful, almost any time of the year, for different reasons.
