Copy and paste or coincidence?

Half way through watching "Blue Sunshine"  (1978) I started to realize its incredibly similar to "The Hidden" (1987) Both are about the protagonist trying to figure out why random, law abiding people go on a killing rampage for no apparent reason.  Heck, the endings are almost identical too;  they end at a political rally.

However, in "Blue Sunshine" the hero kills the politician's bodyguard. In "The Hidden" the alien cop kills the politician (with a flame thrower no less!)   This still struck me as almost a deliberate copy and paste job "Bob Hunt" (A.K.A. Jim Kouf) wrote for "The Hidden".

This started me thinking about quite a few other movies that have too many similarities that have gone unnoticed.   We can discount "Zero Hour" and "Airplane!"  since Jim Abrams and the Zucker bros legally acquired the rights.   That aside, this one flim that may have been actually copied and pasted....

"Africa Express"  (1975)
While not fully similar as "Blue Sunshine" and "The Hidden" are, there were a few visual bits that seemed to pop up when compared to "Raiders of the Lost Arc"...

Does anyone else have any similar observations?   let me know, I'd love to see how this turns out.

I thought JASON GOES TO HELL (1993) was very similar to the HIDDEN (1987). Except the HIDDEN is much better!

I have avoided JASON GOES TO HELL (1993) so I cannot comment.  But y'all should watch "Blue Sunshine" (1978) it's actually a decent movie.   Mind you, THE HIDDEN (1987) is still better.

What are the similarities between "Jason" and "The Hidden" exactly?  It's okay, you can give me "spoilers" as I have zero interest in watching Jason goes to hell. :P

^ I have seen BLUE SUNSHINE!

JASON GOES TO HELL has Jason's spirit being transfered to various people who continue his killing spree, and it's being stalked by a supernatural bounty hunter. Of all the Jason sequels, this one is really quite original!

In a way, kinda reminds me of "God Told Me To"...
Trouble is, I watched it with the sound turned off once, & at the time, I had this VCR that chewed up everything I had if I wasn't careful, so I didn't get to watch it a second time.......
Lucky it was a bulk closeout & not a rental.
