I just heard that Dee Dee Ramone died Wed. We lose him, Joey, Left Eye, and who's left? We get R.Kelly p**sing, Backstreet Boy's whinning, and P.Puff Diddy and J-Lo. I mean, why the hell do all the talented people die and the media whores linger on and on like a bad case of cold sores? I'm sorry if I'm a little bit bitter, but stuff like this really gets me. The music of my youth is dying, and there's nothing but nothing following it.

Herman Cohen also passed away.  He was the producer of B-movie classics like HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER, I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN, and KONGA.  RIP, Mr. Cohen.  You were one of the greats.

Dee Dee was one of the greats. He established what a punk bass line should sound like. Joey and Dee Dee's deaths were my Buddy Holly and Curt Cobain. The Ramones were one of those extremely rare bands that completely redefine music to fit into a new sound. If they had never been music today would be very different.

You can also add ex-Ratt rhythm guitarist Robbin Crosby to the list, since he died yeasterday morning from AIDS complications, which he's been suffering through since 1994(he was swinging, and shooting up heroin needles, around that time).
Yet another shocking celebrity death of 2002 that we all must sadly accept, and deal with,as we struggle to live their oue own busy lives, being all thankful that we're healthy, and still alive.

What's saddest is that they all died through their own faults. Left Eye lived as a moron and died as a moron.

Good point. But still, she could sing.

Quite callously put.

But better to die by your own stupidity than someone elses.
