Country of origin: Unknown, mainly Caucasian actors, Hungarian dubbing.
Date: Seen it around 1993.
Genre: Maybe an action-comedy.

I think the main plot was, that many people were hunting for a diamond or some other kind of precious stone.
I have two scenes.
One is when a woman, who is disguised as a nun, secretly smokes a cigarette in a room, then she starts coughing and makes a remark that she'll choke to death, then suddenly somebody steps out of a closet behind her and strangles her to death with a rosary.
The other is when somebody finally finds the stone in a cemetery but a woman appears and points a gun at him. He manages to knock her unconscious with a shovel right into an empty coffin. Then he proceeds to close the coffin and makes his escape with the stone.

Maybe ROMANCING THE STONE (1984)?
I dunno- I ain't seen it since I seen it on cable in about 1986!
I don't think it is, though.  :bluesad:

I have vague memories of a film that it might be, but I can't remember the name off hand. I think Omar Sharrif played a detective on the trail of an emerald. I think he ends up sufficanting in a grain silo or something. Long time since I've seen it though.

The names I am coming up with is either The Burglers or Green Ice. Not 100% fit, but might be the one.

Thanks for the suggestions. The Burglars are the one with the grain silo, but neither is the one I'm searching.

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

White Fire with Robert Ginty?

I've found the whole movie online, so I was able to look through it and I can tell, this is not the one. But thanks for the suggestion!

Just in case the OP is still hanging around, lurking, waiting for someone to answer this...

This is definitely Deadly Intent (1988). "Starring" Lance Henriksen, for about the first 10 minutes. (The rest of the movie, he's the dead guy in the coffin, which was not actually empty. Just roomy enough for two!)
