Updates on Mom and myself

Just to let you all know that there has been little or no change in Mom's condition: the stroke she suffered was debilitating and she has constant care - thank God for my medical aid which at least pays for her meds and I take care of the rest, including her care.

As for me, well, I am struggling through and trying to take each day as it comes but I honestly I feel like I've aged thirty years in the last few months. The strain on me shows and the meds I have to take - anti-depressants, high BP meds and calming meds - do help but they cannot remove the horror of the last eight months.

I am at least still employed - I shudder to think what would have happened if I had resigned last year after being passed over for promotion and it would have been no funds and no medical aid - and my work keeps me going, as does this place.

Before I forget, I have deactivated my FB account: family members are targeting me once again, despite the fact that I am honestly trying my best to be a good son and to help Mom: FFS, I even sold my car to help her.

Thanks, Paccie: I have mostly good family members and my landlords have surprisingly been very supportive, as have my work colleagues but I have some people in my life who feel I have abandoned Mom which is not the case and will never be. I have even heard from my Dad's foster brother in England: I have never met the man before.

Thanks Brother Ronny. I haven't ever gotten over losing Dad but that horrible event was mercifully quick and he didn't suffer but this
