It's fun mindless garbage.

Personally, I don't think it's mindless. It's very fun satire in the same vein of STARSHIP TROOPERS (same director), and the sci-fi side of Robocop itself is well explored in his rediscovery of his humanity. I think it's a great, extremely well balanced movie.

And let's not forget the ultra-long-arms dummy scene!

Now I know why I like ROBOCOP; I also really like STARSHIP TROOPERS

WingedSerpent

Great movie.

And let's give some credit to Kurtwood Smith as Clarence Boddicker.  Great villain.

zombie no.one

twice now I've been watching a random movie and been like "hey, it's Boddiker from ROBOCOP!", and on both occasions it turned out to be the actor Michael Ironside, not Kurtwood Smith.

Dr. Whom

Clarence Boddicker is one of the greatest film villains ever.
