hard to keep track of these slashers

you've got:

SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE 1, 2 & 3

SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE 1, 2 & 3

THE LAST SLUMBER PARTY

and THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW

all 80s- early 90s

I think I've seen them all?

I watched all of  SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE last night.  I laughed!  The best part was the ending that wouldn't end ...
The killer is not mysterious or disturbing looking - he looks like a schmoebah.
The duel with the poker and power drill... wtf?  :bouncegiggle:
I had seen the beginning at TCM not too long ago with the lineman WOMAN getting murdered silently in her utility van a la drill (no significant special effects in the whole damned thing though - in other words not one damned good kill...)
I am not a "Slasher movie" fan; if I was, I would have LAUGHED at this.  I'm not a "Slasher movie" fan but I LAUGHED anyway.   :teddyr:

I seen the beginning once- is this the one with the guy with a drill/ guitar? Or was that a sequel?
I dunno. All those cheap 80's slashers just melt into a large pot of cheese fondue.

EDIT: The one I saw part of was Part II.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

The long protracted beginning has the longest teen girls in shower (up n down) sequence including asscheek clean (twice) but the first killing is in daylight in a van behind which two teen boys (after above mentioned teen girls) are walking away from including silent scream thru window by victim reaching and screaming for help...!  "HELP!!!  HELP!!!"

I've seen them all.

Slumber Party 2 and Sorority House 2 are the best of the bunch.

I also found a neat little bit while looking for info on Sorority House Massacre III (which does not take place in a sorority house).

From one of the script writers ...

This change in locale presented Jim and I with a problem—how to get the women out of their clothes and into their underwear. (Try to imagine someone like David Lean or William Wyler wrestling with a dilemma like this.) Not that women would ever run around in their under- wear regardless of the location, but it was a little easier to swallow when they were in a sorority house. I asked Jim if it would be too much of a problem to redress the reception area to make it seem like we're on different levels of a high rise instead of a single level office. Jim liked that idea because it opened up all sorts of possibilities for us. It not only gave the ladies more room to run and hide from the killer, it also meant (and this was the genius of the stroke) that they could discover a lingerie company on another level. The sequence where these ladies become so excited when they discover these frilly and sexy undergarments (and just can't wait to try them on) is as ridiculous and infantile as anything you can imagine. But half-naked women is just about all that a film like this has to offer.

SLUMBER PARTY 3 is my fav of all those

one of my favorite movies of all time i had no idea for years that it even was a Corman film! the only thing that hurts the film is the killer he was really good as the killer but they let him speak and he was a terrible actor. but he had presence and was believable as the killer but they should have deleted his lines in the script.

i've seen far worse acting to be fair but i love this movie either way. i remember when i was still in school i woke up one early morning this is back when i think it was HBO? they used to air this all the time and when i woke up for school i was watching this on tv instead of eating breakfast. if i recall it ended like at 6:30 or so this is in the am by the way.  i remember even my folks watched some of it i think i want to say maybe it was jr high or high school i can't remember
