It wasn't too bad up here. I drove my wife and son up to Big Lake, Alaska. Do you want to know why they call it Big Lake?  :teddyr:

I mowed the lawn. There was no fireworks, because the town couldn't afford them. Just another day.
Oh, there were fireworks. Folks were just setting off they're own. My dog was freaked for days- because it's been going on for days. There will be today too, I reckon.

My friends and neighbors put on a short but spectacular fireworks display.  Just down the hill, we had perfect seats in front of my house. 
Then I watched 1776 (1972) on TCM which I like better and better! 

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! 
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!
