I'm out of school now, but my wife is an elementary teacher and this is their last week before summer break.
I heard about this horror yesterday afternoon as she was on her way home, and gave her a long hug when she came in.
Now she has to go back to work today . . .

My friend's mother is living in Israel now and has described the schools there as forts. I guess that may be coming here.
