RASHOMON (1950) was of course broadcast for TOSHIRO MIFUNE day at TCM yesterday.  I watched it again.  The more I look at it, the more enthralling I find it.  The film stuns me.

If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

For some reason I adore some of those Kurosawa's B/W films, but I can't get into others. For instance, I loved "High and low" and "Stay Dog", but couldn't get into "The Bad Sleep Well ".

"Rasomon" I'm afraid it belongs to the second category. I still liked Mifune's acting as the bandit, though.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
