The former lead singer of The Pogues has passed away at the age of 65 after a long illness: RIP.

Big fan (except for the unrepentant alcoholism). Saw him live with the Pogues in the late 80s. The Pogues had a great run of three consecutive albums before he totally fell apart. Shocked he lived as long as he did. He looked like he was on death's door in his 30s.
