Quote from: Rev. Powell on April 02, 2025, 07:29:13 PMYeah they are making a big deal about this storm system. I think flooding is the major risk and it won't effect me where I live. Wind damage would certainly be annoying. Tornadoes are something I've never worried about. Who's even seen one? I've heard dozens of tornado sirens in my life, but never known anyone who's actually been affected by one.

I've seen tornados. Right here in Lawton. Just a few years ago.
But the BIG storm that was supposed to happen tonight never did. It's stormed all day, but no serious wind.

Well, now I know someone who's seen a tornado! Last night sirens and a blare from my phone woke me out of a sound sleep, but nothing happened from the storms. More coming through tonight.

This was a couple miles away from me. Insulation from this roof blew into my father's yard.

around 20°C at the moment, but still almost freezing every night.
Is it October yet?

claws

It was -5°C this morning, which is a freezing record of sorts.

We had our first thunderstorm of the season last night. Intense winds, heavy rainfall and LOUD thunder. Loved it.
Is it October yet?

Quite warm, which means summer weather will be here in a few weeks.
yeah no.

75 degrees F. and cloudy. I went with my pal Tony to see my sister and later we cruised the back roads and smoked a joint.

I know 4/20 is Sunday, but wtf. It's too nice a day.

I just found this video of the Tornado that hit Lawton before it hit Portage and Kalamazoo last year-

We got lucky in Lawton because we're in a valley down here. KZOO is about 15 miles from us, and on higher ground.
